“Mama, look! A snail!” my son squealed, his eyes wide. I felt a smile spread across my face.
A snail means the world is waking up.
A snail means Spring is here!

5 Favorite Preschool Spring Songs and Fingerplays
I love to have a song (or five) in mind for every occasion – and printable lyrics posters to go along with them.
When kids sing along with lyrics posters they:
- Practice counting
- Learn one-to-one correspondence
- Develop literacy skills
- Stay engaged longer
I keep my printables in sheet protectors in a binder. When my kids come across the binder, they flip through the pages, ask me to sing – or even sing by themselves! The printables also look great on the refrigerator – or the classroom wall.

- Occasionally trace your finger under the words as you sing.

I Love the Flowers
I love the flowers,
I love the daffodils.
I love the mountains,
I love the rolling hills.
I love the fireside,
When the lights are low.
Boom de ada, boom de ada,
Boom de ada, boom de ada.
Boom de ada, boom de ada,
Boom de ada, boom de ada,
Boom.

Bluebird, bluebird,

So glad to see you.
Good morning to the flowers,

Good morning to the raindrops,
Raindrops, raindrops.

So glad to see you.

Good morning to the Springtime,
So glad to see you.
